Call for papers: Censorship, Rewriting, Restoration, Annali della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. Classe di Lettere e Filosofia, s. 5, 2/1, 2010 (deadline: 15/02/2010)
The next issue of the Annali della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. Classe di Lettere e Filosofia will devote its monographic section to the censorship of writings and artworks, either as an act of imposition by official powers or as self-censorship. Interdisciplinary articles on patterns and techiniques of recreation, readjustment and reuse of works – or part of them – resulting from the destruction or alteration of the originals, due to censorship, expurgation or damage (incidental or intentional), are invited. Researches could focus on the rewriting of texts (literary or not), as well as on the restoration of artworks. There are no chronological or geographical limitations.
The articles, both for the monographic and the miscellaneous section, must be sent no later than 15 February 2010 to the following address :segreteria.annali@sns.it (contact with any question). The guidelines and the editing rules can be found on the web page of the Annali. The answer about the acceptance of submitted articles for publication will be given within a month, according to the evaluation of internationally renowned referees.
