To be eligible for this appointment, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Philosophy, or PoliticalStudies, or a closely related discipline in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The successfulcandidate will demonstrate the ability to fulfil the teaching, research and service expectationsof a tenured Trent University faculty member, including teaching undergraduate and graduatecourses, maintaining a high quality internationally significant research program, and providingleadership within and beyond the university commensurate with a senior academicappointment. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to fulfill the nationalcollaborative leadership expectations of the Network of Jarislowsky Chairs in Trust and PoliticalLeadership.
