The Canadian Philosophical Association has withdrawn from the 2020 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The CPA Executive Committee, available members of the Board, and the 2020 and 2021 Program Chairs held a meeting on March 25th to discuss the possibility of either joining the virtual Congress proposed by the Federation of the Humanities and Social Sciences, or organizing a separate conference online. It was agreed that neither option was possible for the Association at this time.
To acknowledge the work of the participants of the 2020 Congress, the conference proceedings will be published on the CPA website at a later date. The Annual General Meeting will take place online, with further details to come.
