Call for Papers: BACK to the THINGS THEMSELVES! (BTTTT!) 2027
BACK to the THINGS THEMSELVES! (BTTTT!) is inviting submissions for its 2027 workshop, held as part of the Society for Existential and Phenomenological Theory and Culture (EPTC) meeting at Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, 10–13 June 2027.
BTTTT! focuses on the phenomenological practice of describing lived experience closely and rigorously, without relying on external metaphysical or scientific frameworks. Submitted papers should offer a detailed, original description of a specific phenomenon in the lived world, along with an explanation of the method used to arrive at that description.
Submission guidelines:
- Papers should take no more than 30 minutes to read (generally under 4,000 words)
- Papers must be prepared for anonymous review (identifiable by title only)
- Include a cover sheet with the paper's title, a 100-word abstract, and the author's name, institutional affiliation, and email address
