CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS: What does contemporary settler colonialism look like in Canada, and what reconciliatory and decolonial strategies exist to resist and counter its effects? What historical processes, what policies have led to the current moment, and how are these processes and policies present today under new guises? This call for contributions aims to collect contributions toward a collective effort to chart how the history of settler colonialism is carried and lived in the present, and what acts of resistance and resurgence are being undertaken to unmake it. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: The Department of Philosophy at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, is seeking applications for its one-year Masters program. The department has particular strengths in moral/political/legal theory, social philosophy, feminist philosophy, philosophy of education, history and philosophy of science, critical thinking, and aesthetics. Masters students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty members on their chosen research projects and benefit from the vibrant philosophical community that exists in the Halifax area. Competitive funding in the form of teaching assistantships and Faculty of Graduate Studies scholarships is available. The application deadline is March 15th, however, late applications may be considered if funding is still available.
