CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: The Department of Philosophy at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, is seeking applications for its one-year Masters program. The department has particular strengths in moral/political/legal theory, social philosophy, feminist philosophy, philosophy of education, history and philosophy of science, critical thinking, and aesthetics. Masters students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty members on their chosen research projects and benefit from the vibrant philosophical community that exists in the Halifax area. Competitive funding in the form of teaching assistantships and Faculty of Graduate Studies scholarships is available. The application deadline is March 15th, however, late applications may be considered if funding is still available. CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Deadline extended to November 29. The International Plato Society organizes a symposium on a single Platonic dialogue every three years. We are pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the XIII Symposium Platonicum: Plato’s Sophist. The Symposium will take place July 18–22, 2022, at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, USA.  Submissions on any aspect of the dialogue, including its Presocratic sources and later reception, will be considered.
