The Department of Philosophy at the University of Ottawa invites applications for one tenure-track position in History of Modern Philosophy with competence in Ethics commencing July 1, 2019.

Title of the position: Assistant Professor

Duties:
• Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Supervision of graduate students.
• Research and publications in the field.
• Academic service activities.

Terms: Tenure-track position
Wage: Salary scale for an Assistant Professor starts at $ 82, 944

Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Philosophy.
• Publications and experience in teaching at university level.
• Specialization in modern philosophy with competence in modern and contemporary ethics.
• Teaching capacity in English and French from the start is an asset.
